The Spanish Association of Educational Research (SERA-AIDIPE) has been active since the end of the last 70´s both at a national and international level, with the aim of promoting quality in all areas of Education as well as social compromise through educational research. In order to reach this aim, SERA-AIDIPE has built connections with other educational research associations, especially in Europe, Latin-America and North-America. In this regard, SERA-AIDIPE is a founder member of the European Educational Research Association (EERA), which is representing AIDIPE in the World Educational Research Association (WERA).
At present SERA-AIDIPE members are about 400 researchers from all over Spain. Some of them are organized in seven regional delegations in Andalucía, the Canary Islands, Catalonia, Madrid, Murcia, Valencia and the Basc Country.
