Session Information
00 SES 10, Inaugural Symposium - Organizational Education (Part 1)
Symposium, to be continued in 00 SES 11 B
Contribution
Although there is abundance of research done about organizational learning, none of them try to explore the link between organizational learning and occupational values. Considering this, the main purpose of this study is to define the effect of occupational values on organizational learning in industrial and academic settings in Turkey and Germany. Data will be gathered through both qualitative and quantitative methods. The first qualitative part will consist of focus group interviews and expert reviews to develop new measurement tools ("Workplace Occupational Value Survey"; "Student Occupational Value Survey"). The quantitative part will consist of demographic information form and valid, reliable tools. Data will be analyzed through content analysis, factor analysis, reliability and validity studies will be done. For the relationship between organizational learning and occupational values, multiple regression and for country comparisons, discriminant factor analysis will be used and results will be discussed accordingly. The comparison of data in Germany and Turkey will be a good match to see the difference and similarities in individualistic and collectivist countries.
