HRD (Human Resource Development) research of South Korea is utilized in various academic areas. The HRD research has been considered as a subcategory in the academic field of business administration to be aligned with personnel management. In public administration, it is recognized as an important task to the administrations of a country and a region, and trainings for government employees of different levels are being conducted intensively. Furthermore, HRD research is interested in organizational psychology where its main focus is on organizational behavior. In the case of pedagogy, adult education and educational technology have recently paid attention to HRD research with their main interests on constructing teaching-learning process of corporate pedagogy. Traditional HRD research follows rational indicators such as input and output. However, changes to existing HRD research have been detected as Korean companies lately have emphasized on cultures, arts, and humanities. In what directions would the learning in an organization be conducted based on the HRD research of humanity areas compared to existing HRD based on rationality? The HRD of humanity focuses on the cultural learning process achieved in an organization, and symbol, ritual, performativity, aesthetic perception of the corporation become the targets of the analysis.
