Contribution
In September 2009 the ECER network 4 ‘Inclusive education’ meets in Vienna and discusses in numerous sessions many aspects of inclusive education. The large majority of the members of network 4 know little about the state of affairs in inclusive education in this year’s host country Austria. This invited symposium tries to offer the members of network 4 a means to learn more about inclusive education in Austria and presents an unique opportunity for asking questions and in-depth discussion with presenters from Austria.
The three presentations address respectively inclusive education on classroom level (Werner Specht), go into the support systems available for teachers and students (Brigitte Mörwald & Judith Steiner) and explain the education policy regarding inclusion in Austria (Lucie Bauer).
