The main objective of this study was to analyze relationships between families and the schools in Compulsory Secondary Education in Spain. A sample of 200 parents from in two different geographical areas of Spain –Asturias and the Canary Islands-, whose children are enrolled in state and semi-state compulsory secondary education schools, participated in the study. A questionnaire was administered to analyze parental perception about partnerships at school. The results show that a high percentage of families perceive they have a good relationship with the teachers, they themselves attend school meetings and participate in the school activities; furthermore, they considered the teachers are well qualified and help them to solve problems with their children.
