We held the Network 23 Annual Business Meeting during the online ‘Reconnecting EERA’ event, and afterwards reflected as network convenors on what we could do to fill the gap left by ECER 2020 for education policy studies. Cancelling the Glasgow conference was such a shame. Many interesting and thought-provoking papers and symposia had already been accepted when the decision was made, and would doubtless have contributed to an exciting programme. But there were too many to reorganise as an online event. Nor did it seem right to invite just a few to contribute. Instead, we approached a small number of leading academics in the education policy studies field who have a close relationship with our network, who agreed to contribute to an online seminar series in early 2021.
