Annual Report 2010, Helsinki

During the Helsinki Conference, a methodology workshop on Ethical issues in research with children was organized during the pre-conference. The workshop was attended by around 25 participants, most of them doctoral students. During the main conference, seven paper sessions were organized, attended by between 11-35 participants.

The sessions were organized around the themes:

• Children’s voices, participation and agency,
• Children as agents of change,
• Equal rights and non-discrimination,
• Researching children’s rights: insights and challenges,
• Children´s rights in political and cultural contexts,
• and Violence and conflicting rights

A business meeting was also held.
