Pre-conference accommodation support

EERA has agreed to support accommodation costs for presenters of the pre-conference to enable all early career researchers to attend. Therefore, depending upon numbers, we have arranged for a number of hostel rooms to be available at very low cost (hopefully free) for the 23 August.

Once your abstract has been accepted, the EERA office will let you know how to book these rooms. We hope to offer these rooms free of charge but this will depend upon some people being willing to share double rooms.

More information will be given when registration time starts.

EERA accommodation support

EERA has agreed to support accommodation costs for presenters at the Pre-conference to enable all early career researchers to attend. Therefore we have arranged for a number of hostel rooms to be available at very low cost (hopefully free) for the night of 23 - 24 August. Our partners for this are Eurohostel and Hostel Academica.

Booking

1. You need to book via the general hotel booking website for EERA 2010 and choose one of the two hostels for as many nights as you intend to stay in Helsinki.
2. Note that EERA will not subsidise accommodation costs in any other hotels listed on the hotel booking form. Also only the night of 23 - 24 of August will be subsidised. To benefit from the EERA support, please do not make your reservation directly with the hostels, but always use the booking form.
3. In the hotel booking form you should choose bank transfer as the form of payment. Please do not provide your credit card number. In the additional information in the end of the hotel booking form, please write this note: EERA accommodation support.
4. You need to book before 7 August in order to have access to supported accommodation. As people not entitled to supported accommodation can also book into these hostels, it is better to book as early as possible.
5. After confirmation from EERA and the booking agency, your invoice will be reduced and hostel fees for the night of 23 – 24 will be covered by EERA either entirely or for the most part.
6. Whether EERA covers all costs depends on the number of delegates who book into the hostels and on the number of delegates who are prepared to share a room.

Help us to reduce costs - book double rooms

We encourage you to book your room together with a friend or colleague, also presenting at the Pre-conference. This way we can guarantee room availability and let as many people as possible profit from accommodation support. If you wish to book a room for two or three, only one person needs to fill out a booking form. Please note, however, that names and affiliations of the other persons need to be mentioned in the form to be accommodated in the same room.

Cancellation of rooms

If you need to cancel Pre-conference participation, please also remember to cancel your accommodation!
