2012 - Histories of Education Summer School

Researching Histories of European Educational Spaces, Discourses and Sources



The third edition of Histories of Education Summer School held in Lisbon from 7 to June 10, 2012. The Summer School was supported by the European Educational Research Association, the Paedagogica Historica, the International Standing Conference for the History of Education and the Educational Review Journal. The organization was the responsibility of IEUL, and the local organizing committee included Professors Joaquim Pintassilgo, Maria João Mogarro e Helena Ribeiro e Castro. The Summer School was attended by 30 doctoral students. 12 Professors participated in the roles of lecturer or discussant, including the organizers. There were four plenary lectures and were presented and discussed 30 doctoral projects, divided into two parallel sessions. The social program included two musical moments, in addition to meals and other times of fellowship. There was a reach and deep discussion of the presentations in a pleasant academic environment.
