The success of a child, in the german school system is strongly determinded by its social economical and migrational background (OCED 2010). Parents with a low level degree too often have children who will leave the german school system with a low qualification without even having the chance of reaching a higher one (Bildungsbericht 2012).
Educational politics demand an increase of the social equity for the german school system and a change of its structure to include and provide all children. One result is that most of the special schools will be closed to include all children in a regular schoolsystem.
But if the structure of the german regular school will be still the same, the children with a lower educational background and other disibilities will be more excluded as in special schools for children with disabilities (Amrhein 2010, Huber 2006).
International studies, some german studies (Max Planck Institut 2006) and individual experiences in the working practice with children with special needs, show an effect of social inclusion by playing theater. Is playing theater a chance for inclusion in the german schoolsystem? Will this children include more in the school system too, if they play theater in school?
The theoretical framework of the research is based on theory of social inclusion in school system and national and european projects of schooltheater (TUSCH 2012).
