Evaluation of students’ key competencies is in transforming Czech and also in whole European education becoming to be one of the most important areas of pedagogical research. If one of the main goals of Czech education is developing of key competencies, then is necessary evaluate, to what degree the admission to education was effective. So, in front of all subject didactics is a challenge – make up or revise system of students’ evaluation. One of the possible approaches to evaluation of students and their efforts in the subject can be implementation of effectiveness indicators system. This approach approves oneself in England, Australia or USA in state or federal level. System of education indicators enables relatively reliably assess different parameters of students effort in education process (knowledge, skills, attitudes), whereas systematical linkage of those indicators enables improvement of reliability of each one indicator. Therefore, we can acquire, in a certain time interval, relatively reliable insight about education reality and based on findings we can take actions for educational quality improvement. Systematical implementing of indicators systems into education should also be base for school auto-evaluation and simultaneously it should give relatively reliably view on student own. The contribution brings some outcomes related to construction of indicators and their use in chemistry education.
