Contribution
The “school coach” is a new professional in 3 primary schools in The Hague in the Netherlands. By appointing school coaches, the schools and municipality aim to provide easily accessible points of contact for parenting issues. Generally, school coaches are trained as social workers – although this is not a formal requirement. The school coaches can be considered a preventive measure for serious psychosocial problems of children. In the current study, the pilot implementation was evaluated.
