The aim of this paper is to show a research project entitled "Didactic-pedagogical, methodological and technological Modeling of Virtual Classrooms: implementation at the University of Extremadura".
The objectives of this study are the following:
1. Formalizing knowledge management models based on the use of virtual classrooms.
2. Define and differentiate the semantic space versus virtual platform virtual classroom.
3. Developing educational-teaching-learning models based in the virtual classroom.
4. Develop technological spaces that allow the use of virtual classrooms.
5. Develop empirical studies about the feasibility of these technologies and methodologies in subjects not not physically present in the University of Extremadura.
6. To demonstrate the feasibility and high economic returns to the University of Extremadura would the use of virtual classrooms.
7. Define profiles using virtual classrooms in higher education.
