Session Information
04 SES 14 C, The Italian Inclusion-Oriented School System: Tendencies and Perspectives
Symposium
Contribution
Two years ago at the ECER conference in Vienna our research our the “Research Group on Scholastic Integration and Inclusion” operated by the Faculty of Education of the Free University of Bolzano presented the families’ point of view on the experience of their sons and daughters in Italian Schools. Last year at the ECER Conference in Vienna we presented the teachers’ perceptions of it. In this paper we will present the students’ point of view. 50 students with disability attending school in Trento (north-east of Italy) will be asked through a structured interview to describe their school experience and to express their satisfaction about the learning and social experience. Furthermore, we will present the point of view of their classmates and compare their perception on the learning and social experience with the one by students with disability.
