Parallel Paper Session
Contribution
Studying principal’s competences is primarily connected with Finnish studies concerning the work of principals in primary and secondary school (Mäkelä 2007, Raasumaa 2010, Ahonen 2008, Pesonen 2009, Karikoski 2009, Lehkonen 2009). Ahonen presents ten different roles of principals (listed by McEvan, 2003). Fields of competence in this study also demonstrate the diversity of principal’s roles. In the background there’s also the meta-study of principal’s operations and their connection with the students’ learning (Marzano, Waters and McNulty, 2005)
