Contribution
Today the search to improve the quality of education adopts , depending the context, different shapes and ways. A particular case is the Autonomous Community of Andalusia in Spain. In this context, and after the poor results in the International Performance Standards Tests (PISA) and in the National Achievement Test (Diagnostic Tests), the political powers of this community education developed in February 2008 the Program of Quality and School Performance Improvement aimed at public schools. The program seeks, in his origin, the achievement of some of the educational objectives agreed by the European Union countries for 2010 in the so-called Lisbon Strategy. Among these objectives, we can mention as the most prominents, the attempt to reduce the high dropout rate of Andalusia, as well as improved control and performance of students in basic skills: reading, language and mathematics. In its initial formulation, the attachment to this program for improvement of the schools had a duration of four years and was voluntary for the schools such as for the teachers , getting ( in the case of improvement) economic incentives that could amount to 6,000euros per teacher.
With the foregoing, are the objects of our contribution:
-In general: Reflect the analysis and study of the implementation of the Improvement Plan in the Autonomous Community of Andalusia
-Specifically: To explain the different levels and degrees of incidence in the schools of Elementary and Secondary Education of the Andalusia community.
