Paper Session
Joint Session with NW 15 and NW 18
Contribution
Action research aims to reduce certain forms of inequalities in the practice of physical activity outside of school. It was through the project together sports professionals to emerge around issues of inter-institutional partnership (college, CREPS, Faculty, sports department of the city and neighborhood clubs) leading to the establishment of a device facilitating the practice of the greatest number of students.
The survey of college students (N = 337) indicates that despite the availability of multiple sports, the existence of a large mesh does not honor a sport at the height of the possibilities offered by the territory. Despite the work done in the network (Establishment ECLAIR) too many students still do not benefit from efforts in the area, they "pass through" particularly in relation to sport after school.
Why a college where sports school exceeds the national average, only less than half of the students dismissed UNSS engage in an activity in a club?
In the second step, the processing of questionnaires (N = 222) completed in class and analysis of interviews conducted with parents (N = 15) during scheduled parent / teacher reveals some tracks on the situation of these children who, for various reasons: family, cultural or practical (lack of information, reluctance of parents, lack of appetite, lack of motivation), too often appear forms of inequality experienced or felt by young people from the immigration or not, who can not benefit from physical activity after school.
This objective of living together and flourishing of the young through the sport we questioned the ability of sports professionals to work together on the development of a device to promote more accessible practice after school.
