Annual Report 2016, Dublin
The main activities of Network 12 in 2016 took place during ECER in Dublin. As in the years before Network 12 offered three sessions. The network sessions started with a round table about the topic of "Sharing of Research Data: Challenges and Boundaries in Educational Research", which have been pushed forward by national and supernational research agendas and institutions. Christoph Schindler chaired this session and gave an introduction, which was followed by talks of Bridgette Wessels about "Sharing Research Data: Open data and research practice + RECODE RECOMMENDATIONS", Peter Linde about "Sharing of Research Data: Challenges and Boundaries in Educational Research" and Marius Gerecht about "Sharing and Reusing Educational Research Data – Developments and Perspectives in Germany". The topic and its implimcation for resarch practice were widely discussed by around 15 participants.
In the joint session with network 10 about "Digital Scholarship and Reputation" the following papers were presented: "Digital Scholarship Practices And The Struggle For Academic Recognition" (Cristina Costa, Mark Murphy), "Open Access and accountability of the social impacts of research" (Joan Cabre Olive, Javier Diez Palomar, Vladia Ionescu) and "Supporting and Assessing Academic Careers – Coaching for Publishing" (Edwin Keiner, Karin Karlics).
The third session, the LISnet Open Paper Session "OER, Information Literacy, Knowledge Brookering, and Public Libraries",offered the presentations on "Aligning to Educational Practices - Requirements for a distributed and trans-sectoral OER-Infrastructure" (Christoph Schindler, Ingo Blees, Doris Hirschmann), "Digital LIMA Method: Building a European Network in Media and Information Literacy" (Simão Elias Lomba), and "Knowledge Brokering in the Service of ResearchTransfer and Valorisation" (Marie Gaussel).
