Annual Report 2013, Istanbul

A total of 49 paper proposals, 3 symposium proposals, and 6 poster proposals were submitted to network 16 for the 2013 ECER conference. In addition, 5 paper proposals were redirected to this network. Of this total, 11 paper proposals were rejected and 1 was redirected to another network. The rejection rate was 18%.

The conference schedule comprised 51 presentations in 17 sessions, 3 of which were parallel sessions. The number of paper sessions was 14, the number of symposia was 3. The 6 posters were presented in the poster exhibition area.

Overall session attendance was good, with about 20 visitors per session on average. However, attendance of the Friday afternoon session was poor. Because of late cancellations, no show, or other reasons, 8 presentations (16%) were not given.

  • computer supported collaborative learning
  • blended learning
  • ICT and social networks
  • ICT and special educational needs
  • learning with tablet computers
  • teacher students and ICT
  • E-learning
  • multimedia and serious games

In the symposia, problems and promises of ICT in education, distance learning, and self-regulated learning were addressed.

No joint sessions with other networks were included in this year’s program.

Each network holds a Network Meeting during ECER and invites interested researchers to join. We have collected the network meeting minutes.
