ECER 2025 was held in Belgrade on September 8-12. Network 9 organized 10 paper sessions, a joint paper session with NW24, nine symposium sessions, a joint symposium session with NW34, and one ignite paper session. The sessions were very well attended with around 50 participants on average and the discussions were rich and interesting. Authors of the Network 9 submissions accepted for ECER 2021 came from 21 countries, reflecting the international composition of conference presentations. The organisation of ECER 2025 was great; there were no technical issues.
In addition, the Network 9 programme included the Monica Rosén Memorial Lecture as an invited contribution. Invited this year was Sr. Research Director Eugenio Gonzalez from Boston College, Newton (Massachusetts, United States), on the theme of “From Fax Machines to AI based Large-scale Assessments”. He engaged with the network members in a discussion on 11 September 2025, after the network meeting. Both the Monica Rosén Memorial Lecture and the network meeting were very well attended, with 75 and 42 participants, respectively.
