This panel will explore the evolving research landscape shaped by developments in Open Science, Open Access, and Open Research Data, with a particular focus on the implications for social sciences, humanities, and educational research. As infrastructures for data collection, storage, sharing, and publication continue to shift, it is crucial to ensure these systems reflect and support the unique characteristics of educational research. The session will highlight the ongoing efforts of organizations such as EERA and its involvement in EASSH to advocate for inclusive and discipline-sensitive approaches to open science. Panelists will discuss the responsibilities and opportunities for associations like EERA to take an active role in shaping and responding to these changes. Emphasizing transparency, accessibility, and accountability, the discussion aims to underscore the importance of collective engagement to uphold the quality and integrity of educational research in an open science era.
