One of the most important developments in this age, that has influence on economic, social and cultural contexts , is globalization. Globalization is not a new phenomena .At the time marx and engels were writing about communism manifasto ; they were attending the export of products from capital manufactories to west and east world. They believed that this process is inevitable and no barrier, even bigwall in china can not prevent this trend. But what this indicate today as a new phenomenon, is the speed of this process. Globalization is products of technological growth and we can not obstruct this growth of technology, and consequently; from globalization. One of the main effects that these process leave, is restructuring of world systems, and among the most important elements of this restructuring is education.To establish a modern society, we need education, knowledge and learning;because, the role of education and knowledge in establishing a modern society is more than role of capital and labour.As the growth of globalization is inevitable, bringing about changes in education is also necessary. Lock of efficiency in educational system, has roots in weakness of its function and this weakness is even being in developed and industrial countries. In these countries educational systems can not teach necessary skills for industrial life. Globalization has also some results and challenges for educational elements( aims,content,structure and curriculum).The emergence of global learning and education paradigm( GLEP), is one of the effects of globalization of education. One of the realms which have been greatly affected by globalization is learning and education. Globalization in the field of education has resulted in the creation of a new paradigm called "GLEP". In higher education, the effects of globalization , has focused on uniforming requirements of professional, and consequently, the standardization of curriculum. Decentralization, monism, dereferentialization... are the other effects of globalization on education. Curriculum ( tourist curriculum, truly international curriculum,holistic curriculum approach and cross-curruculum )are important subject for adherents of globalization of education. From the social and cultural perspectives, globalization prepares the ground for the infiltration of social and cultural values of the societies enjoying greater power in the field of technology, information and communication into the other societies.The most important effect of globalization from this perspective is the fact that, globalization creates new and ultra-national identities through changing the foundation of local - national identity. It is worth to mentioning that such effects of globalization in the other countries create some challenges in the field of educational issues in this countries . globalization , also have many negative effects for educational systems( public and higher education). In this paper, the main questions to be addressed are how globalization and education can be relates together; why and how globalization of education can change some elements of education( such as content, structure, curriculum, aims and methods). Why and how globalization of education can be challenging for national - local educational systems and also for national - local culture. This paper aims to explanation and critique of globalization of education and also to provide answers to above questions.
