By phrase teacher's pedagogical ethics one means the Kantian maxims that teacher has duty to follow. One could provide a list most crucial maxims that teacher absolutely shall not violate. We surely need these Kantian maxims in teacher's pedagogical ethics, but they tell us very little about those properties that good and morally teacher should have. In teacher education we of course must elaborate the ethical code of teacher (maxims) but we also must consider the properties of a morally good teacher that is the virtues of a good teacher. For this purpose Aristotles's over 2000 years old book called Nicomachean Ethics is very actual. According to Aristotle we need to educate citizen to be virtuous. Without virtues (arete) - at least som amount of it - polis community is impossible. Virtues are human properties or human's action dispositions which makes possible the telos of human, the purpose of human being. Every being have its telos. Telos of a seed is to become a plant. Telos of a man is to live a good life. Good life is a life that is lived according to virtues. Good life includes friends, family, theoretical life (bios theoreticos, vita complentativa), sorrow, participating to politics etc. Aim of a goof life is happiness (eudaimon). For good life you need polis community, education to be a virtuous man and phronesis that is practical wisdom. Man who posses phronesis always act according to virtues. He always know, what is right mode of action in different situation. This raise a question concerning the qualities and virtues of a teacher. What kind of a teacher can teach virtuous? What are teacher's virtues when she is teaching virtues? Aristotle himself never did ask these question because teacher's profession was not a role f a free and virtuous citizen. In this Aristotle make a mistake. We cannot have successive "virtue pedagogy" without considering the virtues of a good teacher. This is a task of any pedagogy inspired by Aristotle's virtue ethics.
