Contribution
The platonic and new platonic-Christian tradition indicate the apophatic approach to knowing which refuses to restrict life to objective intellectual constructions and advances knowledge as an existence-event that combines the power of logos and eros. Through logos and the possibilities of language, one can gradually be extended from the aesthetics of the concrete to the aesthetics of the abstract and the ontological. It is therefore valuable if language permits and promotes this extension by being precise and at the same time indicative. Socrates, with his famous questioning method (dialectics), tried to increase people's awareness of what things are by deconstructing their given certainties and bringing about a negative awareness with wonder (aporia) as a basis for further questing. Eros, drives people to realize their life as an ec-stasy from a neutral and objectified existence which is content to satisfy elementary needs, to become the related personal human being who bravely exercises his freedom to cross borders and meet and unite, in his own way, with the world. The deconstructive dynamic of logos embedded in the unified passion of eros can thus be an advanced ethical action and an alternative and accurate approach to knowing which opens up the possibility to the experience of a transformative educative communion in beauty and joy.
