Contribution
Referring to a similar survey carried out in the years 1967/68 by Piero Bertolini, the authors considered very important to repeat that experience: their aim was not to get to punctual correlations between the two surveys, but instead to define what is the relationship between pedagogy on the one side, and psychology, sociology and cultural anthropology on the other side, today. The interest is due mostly to the changes that affected all the above mentioned disciplines, especially from the academic point of you. The new survey seems to confirm the existence of a wide-spread difficulty to acknowledge pedagogy as an independent science, even though some important evaluations, which indeed appear to be somehow in contrast with such a difficulty, have been revealed. The authors think that an important cause for this situation - which is obviously at the origin of a scarcely spread trend towards a real and frank interdisciplinarity - is the fragmentation of human knowledge; in the Italian Universities, this is confirmed by the presence of psychological and sociological faculties which resist their opening up to themes and points of view others than their own. This implies an invitation to all the above mentioned disciplines so that they can find out the more proper ways to change the reported trend: they should not only revise their epistemological foundations, but also and especially allow and stimulate more convincing social procedures.
