Session Information
18 SES 02, Professional Learning - Discussion Session (Part 2)
Symposium: continued from18 SES 01
Contribution
This symposium is multi-thematic and crosses (a) the shifting boundaries and challenges for professionals in education (b) education and the production and circulation of knowledge and (c) the effects of non-academic learning activities. Through meaningful research in these intersecting sub-themes, and funded by Horizon 2020, it is intended that Europe can better prepare EU educators across the career span to motivate and inspire EU citizens to engage in lifelong learning. The Sport Pedagogy Network inspired by its leading researchers refract these subthemes within this special symposium to develop a research question which will form the basis of a research bid outlining how physical educators, fitness professionals and coaches might contribute to the education of EU citizens for sustainable health and well-being.
