Session Information
18 SES 09, Education for Global Learners - Discussion Session (Part 2)
Symposium: continued from 18 SES 08
Contribution
This symposium is multi-thematic, spanning (a) education for Innovation, (b) Complex transformations of education systems and policies, (c) a globalised curriculum and (d) digitization of social life. Through meaningful research in these intersecting sub-themes, funded by Horizon 2020, it is intended that Europe can better prepare resilient, innovative autonomous citizens who can cope with flexicurity through effective education policy and praxis across multiple synchronous and asynchronous sites in real and virtual communities. The Sport Pedagogy Network inspired by its leading researchers refract these four subthemes within this special symposium to develop a research question which will form the basis of a research bid outlining how physical education, sport and physical activity might contribute to the education of global learners.
