Contribution
This research has been conceived to justify de promotion of educational treatment of diversity in inclusive contexts. Such purpose is to be based on the conclusions obtained from theoretical background, other researches and collected data proceeding from empirical analysis. This way, the research tries to show the necessary requirements and resources to implement such educational treatment of diversity in the above mentioned context. Such treatment should be accommodated to demands of authentic quality and should facilitate the highest possible development of every person’s particular abilities and potentialities. The obtained conclusions will permit proposals that will be presented in order to improve educational treatment of diversity in inclusive context.
Method
Some countries, from Europe and America, participate in this study. Although every country has its own peculiarities, a common design has collaboratively been set up for all of them. The research approach is a mixed one, as quantitative and qualitative techniques are been used: these basically include a questionnaire (elaborated and validated for this research), some interviews and some case studies.
The symposium proposed is mainly referred to data obtained from the questionnaire use. Data obtained from the other techniques are considered in other situations. We refer on this symposium to data obtained from such questionnaire in two European countries (Spain, in the South) and Latvia (in the North) and one country from America (Mexico).
Expected Outcomes
By the questionnaire using, it has been tried to detect information referred to the following aspects:
• Which groups have favourable attitudes towards inclusion
• Which students with diversity types and levels should be inclusively educated
• Which type of inclusion is most suitable
• Which advantages does inclusion offer for which students
• How to improve inclusion of students with diversity needs
• How to perform education of students of different cultures
• How to carry out education of gifted students.
