Contribution
In 2004 the EU began the challenging Erasmus Mundus Programme which consists of selecting high quality professional interuniversity and international master students in Europe. Sixteen of those masters already count with graduated students.
Even though this is a well-known and appealing programme for non-European students European youth are not very familiar with it yet. An aim of the University should be the possibility to offer to their students the best option to achieve a successful professional insertion.
Just as this moment we can deal with the study in depth of several aspects of these Masters, such as graduated professional insertion degree, quality of that insertion and guidance elements of Masters, and finally, the Universities that offer them.
In order to develop a research for analyzing 54 Masters Erasmus Mundus, including 26 involved Universities and the present total amount of 160 graduated students, different sorts of instruments will be used.
The research will use a comprehensive, illustrative, exploratory and descriptive methodology.
Thus, with this study we aim at the following objectives:
Objectives
To analyze in depth the elements of advice for work insertion included by the different Masters.
To get comparative and updated information of professional orientation services of Universities which offer Erasmus Mundus.Master .
To asses information and elaborate proposals for good practices.
To know the job prospect success of Erasmus Mundus Master students and then propose measures to reinforce the professional feature of the programmes and their adjustment to the labour market.
To illustrate, by means of biographical paths, the itinerary of complementary training of graduated students until they get or improve their job.
Method
Different instruments will be used for research development:
- Analysis of the elements of work orientation (web pages, in general) from every implied University and its Erasmus Mundus programmes.
- Analysis of the documents of job orientation of the Universities involved in the Erasmus Mundus Master Programmes.
- Questionnaires to 54 Erasmus Mundus coordinators and 160 graduated students. These questionnaires will allow us to know the opinion of coordinators and students about the professional feature of the programmes and their adjustment to the labour market. They will also show us, the job prospect index of each programme once the students have finished ( professional insertion after 12,18,24 and 30 months ).
- A biographical kind interview to 32 selected students to both know and illustrate in deep key aspects of the study : the formative and complementary itineraries, the processes of job insertion of graduated students.

Expected Outcomes
Expected results and actions that may come from the proposal development.
Our research is currently developing and we will get results on next July. With this study we want to know and to analyze the structure of the orientation for work insertion of Erasmus Mundus Masters, and offer a comparative piece of information to improve professional orientation its students.
With this study we intend to offer relevant information to the people in charge of Erasmus Mundus Master students for them to improve the professional orientation given to their students. Also to reinforce their professional feature and improve the index of the graduated students job prospect .
The Universities will be able to use the job prospect index to improve the information about Master studies and make them even more appealing to their students.
