Symposium to be continued in 11 SES 14 B
Contribution
This paper reports on the outcome of interviews with 10 participants in an international internship, where teachers from Kazakhstan examine the theory and practice of pedagogy in a UK university and its partnership schools. The TIMMS framework of aspects of teachers’ lives and practices is used as the basis of the interview. This paper will provide a vehicle for examining concepts of the transfer of practice and be used to enquire into the assumptions behind programmes which assume that teachers will learn from experience in other countries. The comparison through experience will also be a useful complement to the analysis of the TIMMS data.
