Session Information
32 SES 02 A, Future Developments in Organizational Education – An Open Workshop
Research Workshop
Contribution
Organizational Education has evolved from a network of similar questions posed by educational researchers and has increasingly become an international institution over the past years. It deals with the following topics: Educational Research on Organizations, Organizational Learning, Educational Management, Knowledge Management, Organizational Culture, and Learning Culture. Due to the variety of theoretical and methodological frameworks and the increasing internationalization, following questions arise: What is the essence of organizational educational research? How does it differ from organizational sociological or psychological approaches? Yet these questions do not only evolve on a theoretical but also on a structural level: How can interested scientists meet each other in the field of organizational education and sharpen the research subject of organizational education or how can joint research projects be developed and implemented? These questions could be addressed in the open workshop.
Method
In order to create the most open atmosphere possible and to focus on the participants' concerns, a discussion room will be opened in accordance with Open Space Technology (Freit-ag 2009; Dittrich-Brauner et al. 2008). Ideas and suggestions can be submitted both in the run-up to the workshop organizer and within the workshop itself.
Expected Outcomes
The results will lay the foundations for the further development of Organizational Education. The results can address the following areas as required: First contact; networking and cooperation, but also the development of thematic working groups or future research projects.
