01 SES 07 A, Pedagogy, Education and Praxis: An eleven-year progress report from an international research network - Part 1
Symposium to be continued in 01 SES 08 A
Contribution
This presentation introduces the research program of the Pedagogy, Education and Praxis international research network. It gives a brief account of the background of the network 2005-2019, and outlines the evolution its research program, currently entitled Action Research and Practice Theory. It also gives an overview of the publications of the network, including at least 22 books, plus many book chapters, four special issues of journals, and well over 100 refereed journal articles. These publications formed the corpus of materials for the analysis which has produced the papers presented in this two-part symposium, each synthesising main findings from the research program relevant to each of the PEP research questions. Separate teams worked on the synthesis of findings regarding each of the research questions, and the five syntheses are being collected and cross-referenced to appear in a book which will be published, we hope, in 2020.
