10 SES 10 C, Professional Consciousness, Professional Competence, Professional Performance in Multicultural Settings: Does Teachers Training Matter?

The session is focused on the methodology, experimental methods of educational research and practical aspects of teachers training in multicultural (heterogeneous) environments. It covers the survey of main theoretical approaches to professional consciousness (including reflexivity), presents the results of experimental research and describes some practical outcomes and applications to teachers training programs and curricula. Training of productive interactions which was designed specially in respect of improvement of the professional consciousness of students – future teachers will be also presented. Cultural historical psychology can be seen as a theoretical framework for the programs of improving of professional competence and performance in multicultural settings and narratives. Research models based on cultural-historical approaches will be widely presented during the session together with the wide rank of various practical materials.
