The paper presents an analysis of community members in constructing a collective hypertext environment - http://www.letopisi.ru in the period 2006 - 2010. Participants of the training project is added to the encyclopedia articles and new articles linked to each other. The analysis used examples of the most successful projects implemented in the community, activities of participants, connectivity of hypertext and the sustainability of the community.
In modern educational practice, increasing attention is paid to situations and tools that support the participation of students in finding, creating, editing and classification of digital objects. These activities are organized on the basis of mass of networked communities of knowledge sharing. In these communities teachers and students work together with texts, photographs, diagrams and programs. Though the diversity of content, technical tools, organizational forms of educational networking communities, but we can identify general criteria of success and viability of a community. In this paper, such criteria are provided in the analysis of wiki project - Letopisi.ru
In today's world wiki is considered as the most promising environment for the formation of a network of sharing and the organization of training activities in which students can use ready-made materials (texts, templates, diagrams, drawings, photographs) to create their own works. In Russia education MediaWiki represented fist of all by Letopisi.ru project and its regional clones in several teaching colleges and universities. Letopisi.ru - http://Letopisi.Ru - a national educational project with international participation, which continues more than four years. Currently Letopisi.ru is a huge multimedia archive and an experimental playground, where everyone can find useful information and make an experiment with modern methods of collective storage, retrieval, editing and classification of texts, photos, audio, video. For the first time ever in the network space of Russia was implemented educational project, which is impossible to image without the support of computer technology. 4 years after the launch of the project, we can use the accumulated material to build on the foundation of training projects, to select new criteria of success and viability of the learning communities. In analyzing the viability of the community it is important to take into account not only successful experience, but the experience of defeat. In this case we follow to the approach of A. Bruckman, who analyzes the seven-year history of the community MediaMoo and reveals the reasons for the gradual extinction of this community.
