Symposium
Contribution
In this presentation, our focus is on the practice architectures of mentoring in the participant counties of NQT-COME: Estonia, Denmark, Finland, Sweden and Norway. The aim is to describe and compare best practices of mentoring as a process, more explicit to shed light on how mentoring is implemented in practice in local Nordic school contexts. National and local data, with narratives and interviews, has been collected by NQT-COME network members from the perspective of educational authorities, mentors and mentees, and analysed comparatively by the experts of research on mentoring. The data collection and analysis have been made together with the authors in several workshops during meetings of the NQT-COME project between 2009 and 2011. In the comparative and qualitative analysis varieties, patterns, methods and procedures of mentoring as a process is in focus.
