Contribution
This paper is based on the Comenius Project, integral teacher training (IntTT) for developing digital and communicative competences and subject content learning in schools. The Finnish contribution to the project was to create a didactic methodology for wiki and blog writing. The corpus of this paper, collected during the first phase of the project in fall 2010, is threefold: 1) Teacher educators produced didactic essays through wiki, publishing them in a blog created for the purpose (http://blogs.helsinki.fi/inttt-writing). 2) Student teachers worked in their own wiki developing their didactic thinking and practising peer feedback among themselves through the wiki. 3) Mentor teachers in collaborative schools started wiki-based projects together with the student teachers in their classes, with secondary and upper secondary school pupils. The main focus of our interest is on school pupils’ comments made during the wiki writing period, which constitutes three different types of feedback: First, spontaneous comments pupils wrote to each other in wiki. Second, constructive peer feedback to each other during their work. Third, electronic course evaluation forms. In this paper we present a qualitative analysis of spontaneous, conscious and formal feedback given by the pupils, and juxtapose the analysis with the views of teachers
