Symposium, continues in 16 Ses 13 A and 16 Ses 14 A
Contribution
This communication will present some preliminary results of the implementation of a Massive Online Closed Course (MOCC) in training Higher Education teachers to use Moodle. According to the original plan, all teachers were automatically enrolled in the course although attendance was not mandatory. A group of three instructors designed the course and assured the ongoing monitoring of teachers as part of the curating process. We present preliminary results regarding processes and strategies of self-regulated learning (SRL) developed by participants, the social networks formed and evidences of the creation of a community of practice (CoP) . The preliminary results point to the need of further research in order to actually understand the types of change made by teachers in teaching practice and to understand the relationship between proficiency in the use of technological tools and those changes.
