Session Information
16 SES 12, Digital Technologies in Teacher Training (Part 1)
Symposium, continues in 16 Ses 13 A and 16 Ses 14 A
Contribution
In the frame of the EHES and Bologna processes, new university qualifications are designed according to competences. In this sense, self-regulated learning (SRL) has become one of the most relevant over-arching competences. Students’ internships provide an excellent environment to develop and assess competences, as they allow pupils to work in real situations. Nevertheless, the acquisition of competences happens not only through action but also through reflection. Digital competence is the another key competence to be considered for analysis. We have tested the use of blogs as an instrument for the reflection on competences acquired during the internship in a holistic project, with the participation of several professors from different fields and departments within the Teacher Training Programme of the University of Barcelona. Simultaneously, an interface has been designed to assess the competences and to provide feedback for students in the frame of SRL. This research is supported by ARCE (Group for Educational Sciences Research) with an LMI 2009 grant.
