Mental health can be defined as a state of well-being enabling individuals to realize their abilities, cope with the normal stresses of life, work productively and fruitfully, and make a contribution to their communities (WHO, 2003). A study in Turkey revealed that educatşon faculty students’ mental health not good (Koç and Polat, 2006). Another matter is that in problem situation help seeking activation or not. Help seeking gives hope, comfort, and possible instrumental benefits to ease the distress (Kung, 2003). Help seeking orientation was occurrenced in two ways: in terms of willingness to seek help in general and in terms of willingness to seek help from mental health professionals rather than general practitioners (Rickwood and Braitwaite). Despite the considerable distress and disability associated with the disorder and the availability of treatment options, many patient usually are not inclined to seek healthcare (Beşiroğlu and Ağargün, 2006). This study intend to point out that teachers’ mental health is important in teacher preparation education and teacher selected system.
