11 SES 12 A, Is Quality of Educational Institution Influenced by Educational Leadership? I
Symposium, Part 1
Contribution
The extensional findings of the investigation on the Joint Master's programme on Educational Treatment of Diversity (Gento, S., Coord.) implemented at the University of Latvia in 2008-2009 (Fernate etc., 2009, Birzina etc. 2012; ASEM LLL Workplace survey in 2010) show that for the majority of the learners it is better that they themselves decide upon learning activities (Maslo, E. 2012) for such benefits as personal growth, improving life and work quality more than only for development of professional competences asked for work-post routine. The findings show the dependence between the learning outcomes and Quality of Pedagogical Leadership of learning and stress the importance of shifting the approach from teaching to teaching team pedagogical leadership as creating the opportunities to overcome obstacles (Gento, 2011) in reaching learning outcomes of all students: creating and management of transformative learning space (Maslo, E. 2010). The extensional evidence of quantitative and qualitative data processing as the pleader for the need of the joint study of pedagogical leadership in European countries based on S. Gento’s concept and investigation methodology on pedagogical leadership, presented at ECER 2011 conference in Berlin, will be presented at ECER 2012 referred to Latvian Higher Education context.
