11 SES 13, Is Quality of Educational Institution Influenced by Educational Leadership? II
Symposium, Part 2
Contribution
Educational leaders around the world deal, on a daily basis, with the conflicts regarding to the quality of their teaching processes. Should they focus on their students' knowledge-learning, or should they develop independent learners and focus on teaching values, critical thinking etc. On the other hand, this discussion cannot be conducted by educational leaders only in regard to the institute they are responsible to, as of the fact that they are all assessed by international criteria. Moreover, while assessing the quality of educational processes, one should consider the culture in which the educational processes are taking place at. This study presents the view of Israeli school -principals and teacher’s trainers- in regard to the conflicts they need to deal with while conducting a variety of educational programs at the educational institutes they are in charge of.
