Symposium
Contribution
How does digital technology contribute to innovation in education regarding France? The theme of my presentation will be developed in seven sections. After (1) a brief review of the specificities of the approach of innovation in education and training, I will mention a few (2) key data concerning the use of ICT in European education with an emphasis on changes in national policies and practices concerning teaching methods. Then, I will discuss the features of digital technology development in education in France around four axes: (3) educational policy in the field of ICT, (4) the practice of ICT in school and university, (5) the content and services particularly with regard to the relationship between school - family, (6) the training and qualification of teachers. To conclude, I will (7) make a selective list of questions for educational communities and policy makers that arise, in specifying that research and experience do not provide answers to these questions.
