Learning styles refer to the way individuals begin to concentrate on, process, retain and later retrieve new and difficult information (Dunn & Dunn, 1990). Children's learning styles differ just as individual finger prints differ. One's style is as individual as one's personality. This is so with every learner and certainly also with Bruneian children. It is imperative that these differences in learning styles are one way or another addressed in schools and especially as early as in the primary schools. Working in collaboration with a local teacher of Upper Primary Science 4, the children's learning styles were identified. Possible ways of addressing the identified learning styles were planned and implemented. The teacher found the task quite challenging but 'very rewarding'. The close collaboration between this paper presenter and the science teacher basically worked out to the benefit first, of the children, then the teacher and the researcher herself as well as the school in general. The school headmistress was likewise a significant factor in the 'success' of this small-scale attempt to respond to children's learning styles through collaborative efforts with a local teacher. In this paper presentation, the experiences and insights gained by the presenter will be shared. A video of the particular class referred to will also be made available for interested viewers.
