Priorities & Ideas/Suggestions:

  • Facebook page: Facebook could be inclusive but also exclusive.  Put forward as an addtitional communication channel but all formal communication should take place through the mailing list.  Facebook would increase the online presence of the network and might therefore help to increase membership.  Job-postings, journals etc. could also be posted to the Facebook page. Some reservations were expressed about the idea of Facebook page for the network
  • Designated hotels for ESER members
  • Work more closely with the AERA SIG

Graduate student as reviewers – this was discussed and the following matters were raised:

  • There should be additional to the formal role of 2 reviewers per submission
  • Grad students would benefit greatly from the process
  • Convenor should have prior knowledge of who the students are

Attila Varga informed about the transportation to the Network dinner held at the Hungarian Institute for Educational Research and Development Centre for Content Development and Methodology, Budapest.
