"Risk Behavior and Risk Taking of young Adults in South Tyrol/ Italy with regards to the Behavior in Health, Road Traffic and Leisure Activities" An important cause to take a look at this field, specially for South Tyrol/Italy, is the fact that we can find here a great number of serious accidents in traffic and leisure activities by young adults, a high risk for suicide and alcohol or drug abuse. Questions we could ask in this coherence is: "Which risk behavior and risk taking we can find in the field?" An another question we could ask is: "Are there cultural attitudes and patterns which are beneficial for a high risk behavior and risk taking of young adults in this field?" Two factors can influence this problem, first the regional circumstances (central Alps) and cultural as soon as social influenced attitudes with regards to the existing risks.For my study I want to develop a questionnaire with regard to attitudes and showed risk behavior. The method is quantitative empirical. I want to complete these data with instruments from the qualitative research. For the qualitative data I want to use focussed interviews and interviews with experts. In addition it is also possible to use information of the context like newspapers and official statistics.Aim of my work is to survey cultural and individual attitudes of young adults in South Tyrol which have an influence of the showed complex behaviour patterns and to find remarkable tendencies with regards to "risk behavior "and "risk taking". I want to make attitudes and behavior of young adults to the object of my research project.
