"She`s just sitting there!" Young people with introversion behaviour problem in school, a phenomenological approach for understanding their life-world. After having interviewed ten young people between fourteen and eighteen with introvert behaviour I have few conclusions, but many new questions. Introversion and extraversion behaviour are two main personality components. Introversion is the flow of libido inwards, towards the depths of the psyche. It is characterized by shyness, inscrutability and idiosyncratic behaviour. My main focus has been the experience of introvert students social interactions in school. In order to understand better how this behaviour affects others. My theoretical and methodical approach is phenomenology. Phenomenology is a discipline that attempts to describe what is given to us in experience without obscuring preconceptions or hypothetical speculations; trying describe ' the things themselves'--rather than to the prefabricated conceptions we put in their place. The adults answers, thoughts, experience and suggestions about how to behave and respond to this behaviour are the most important in my research. My challenge is to present their life-world as "real" as possible. I use a phenomenological methodical approach to understand the adults lifeworld. This method encompasses three interlocking steps1. The phenomenological reduction 2. The phenomenological description 3. The search for essences (Giorgi, 1997 ; Husserl, 1970) These perspectives are discussed in my reasearch, and characterize my questions, my attitude and results. I am in progess with my doctorial work and has therefore not any conclusions yet, but many interesting questions and presentations from young people that have a introvert behavioural problem.
