Liselott Aarsand is Professor at the Department of Education and Lifelong Learning, the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Norway. Her research is primarily guided by discourse analysis, focusing on adult learning, identity work, and the dynamics of power in everyday life. She has studied how identities are negotiated in adult education and has published extensively on the portrayals of parenting in the media and popular culture, as well as the pedagogical workings of such encounters. Currently, her research interests include dating practices, particularly the social mechanisms created and established within such sites, and how people learn to navigate these experiences. She is also passionate about qualitative methodology and analytical work.
