Welcoming Newcomers to ERC

In embarking on the Emerging Researchers Conference 2026 (ERC), we wish to extend a warm welcome to all participants, with a special emphasis on those who are entering the ERC milieu for the first time.

On Monday, 17 August, just before the Opening Ceremony, the Newcomers' Welcome will serve as a warm welcome into the inclusive ERC community as well as an important gathering designed to ensure a fruitful conference experience for all attendees.

The purpose of this dedicated meeting is to advise newcomers through the process of participating in ERC conferences. By serving as an orientation platform, it is presented as an opportunity to familiarise attendees with the conference landscape.

The session will present a curated overview of ERC's schedule, highlighting sessions, workshops, and events, which will not only provide attendees with a strategic roadmap but also allow them to make decisions aligned with their interests and academic goals.

Additionally, the Newcomers Meeting provides attendees with an opportunity to interact with Link and Co-convenors, while creating a sense of community and fostering connections with other participants.
