How to Use the Floq App

Important

  • Once the app is fully set up, all ECER participants are invited by email to download the Floq App. This will happen two weeks prior to the conference, at the latest.
  • Please make sure you log in with the email address to which the invitation from Floq was sent.
  • Please do NOT download the app from the app store without having been invited.
  • Stay up to date!!! Be sure to look for the red dot in the upper right corner of the app (or the blue update button) and click on one of them to update the app whenever an update is available.

We hope you also find the app very useful and mostly self-explanatory. If not, please see an overview of the features, search functions etc below.

  1. My Profile
By clicking on the dot with your initials on the top right, you can access My Profile, to add a photo, amend privacy and visibility settings, see and start updates (red dot under your initials/photo indicates the need to update). You can also see My Programme, if you saved sessions, and see your contacts.
Please note: if you cannot see yourself or someone else in the Attendees list, the visibility settings may be on Not Visible in Attendees list.

  2. Programme

    Daily Programme
In Daily Programme you can see all sessions taking place each day. You can filter by Networks and Formats. The Search function there offers a search each day.

    Network Programmes
Here you can see all sessions of each of EERA’s 34 networks, in chronological order, as well as all presentations.

    Global Search
This can be used for a general search of the programme, of all days at once, either for persons or keywords.

    Session “Content”
To see a list of the presentations in a session, click on “Content”. Click on the presentation title to see the presenters/authors.

    Saving Sessions, Presentations and People
Click on the bookmark icon to save sessions, presentations or people. Click on your name in the upper right corner to view your saved “Favourites”.

    Joint Sessions
Joint Sessions provide an oportunity for 2 or more networks to come together for presentations and exchange. To locate Joint Sessions in your network, filter for your network and scroll down to locate a JS at the end of the session short (for example: 22 SES 02 A JS). Click on the session to see which networks are involved.

    Format
You can filter for Format in the mobile app. In the web app enter the format you are interested in, e.g. “Panel Discussion” in the global search.

Programme Updates - Stay up to date!
Remember, with a conference of this size, there will undoubtedly be changes to the programme, including last-minute changes. The ECER 2026 App will be updated three times a day, at 9:45, 14:45 and around midnight, so a good time to update would be first thing in the morning and during the coffee breaks. Please check the app regularly throughout the conference and always update the app if an update is available (if an update is available in the mobile app, a blue update button will briefly appear and you will see a a red dot in the upper right corner. Be sure to look for and click on the button or red dot).

If the mobile app suddenly stops working after an update, close the app and re-open it.

  3. Authors and Chairs
You can use this to search for presentations of specific persons or to connect with them directly by sending a contact request. If you received a contact request, you will see that in My Profile at My Contacts.

  4. Attendees List
The Attendees List offers the same connect function and shows all persons who are registered ECER participants and who agreed in the settings to be visible on the list. You do however not see presentations or chairing functions here.

  5. Venue Map
Here you can find the searchable venue map.

  6. Social Wall
This is the place to connect with other participants in groups. You can start a conversation via "Share your Thoughts" and others can then comment. You could use this, for example, to suggest after ECER get-togethers.

  7. Local Info Boards
You can find all kinds of information here, e.g. Touristic Information, Travelling with Kids, Childcare and the link to the Local Pages Website  where you will find a wealth of information on restaurants, things to do in Tampere etc.
