Dr. Helga Dorner is Associate Professor and Director at the Institute of Research on Adult Education and Knowledge Management at Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE), Hungary, and Chair of the Higher Education Pedagogy Sub-committee of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. Before joining ELTE, she directed the Center for Teaching and Learning at Central European University. Her research explores how learning communities emerge and evolve across higher and adult education, with a particular focus on mentoring, collaborative learning, academic development, and SoTL initiatives in changing institutional and digital environments. She is particularly interested in how educational relationships and communities shape learning, participation, and professional practice in universities and beyond.
